Hi, I’m Stephanie Gunderson, founder of Gundy Home. I’m glad you’re here.

For over 17 years, I worked as the Director of Outreach at a large church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I traveled often, helping communities with real needs and organizing support. Service and compassion were central to everything I did.

Gundy Home didn’t start with a business plan. It began in 2020 during the pandemic. I was working full-time supporting my community and needed something to help me relax in the evenings. I started hand knitting chunky blankets. They brought comfort, and friends began asking for their own.

Later that year, I created personalized gifts for my daughter-in-law’s baby shower using a Cricut machine. A guest at the shower placed a large order. That moment encouraged me to keep going.

I began learning more creative skills. My husband Kevin and I picked up carpentry, and I taught myself how to craft handmade home decor using wood and other natural materials. I loved working with pieces that had character. Each item had a story.

By the end of 2020, we invested in a commercial-grade laser machine made in the USA. It helped me create custom gifts using wood, leather, and acrylic with more precision. Gundy Home started to grow, one order at a time.

In early 2024, we made a big move to the North Georgia mountains to focus on the business full time. We found a home with seven acres and turned the red barn on the property into our new workshop.

Soon after, my handmade home decor and personalized gifts were featured in The Mason Jar Shoppe in Helen, Georgia. Visitors from across the country began taking home pieces that reflected their love of travel, family, and place.

By spring 2025, we started building a new 3,000-square-foot space, now known as The Barn at Gundy Home. It’s where we design and craft products that reflect what matters most—family, faith, and the American spirit.
