Hi, I’m Stephanie Gunderson, welcome to Gundy Home. What began as a simple creative outlet during a difficult season has grown into something truly special. This small business started in my living room and has become a place where I get to share meaningful, handmade home decor with people all over the country.

Before launching Gundy Home, I spent over 17 years as Director of Outreach at a church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My work focused on helping families and communities both locally and around the world. That mission to care deeply and serve with intention has stayed with me. It’s part of everything I create.

In 2020, I began knitting chunky blankets by hand as a way to relax. It wasn’t long before friends and family asked for their own. Then came personalized gifts for a baby shower, crafted on a small cutting machine. What started as a hobby quickly turned into something more.

How We Got Started

Around that time, my husband Kevin, a skilled woodworker, began teaching me how to work with wood. We started combining his craftsmanship with my eye for design and my love for meaningful, handmade home decor. We invested in a professional laser machine made right here in the USA, and suddenly, we could create beautiful custom pieces from wood, leather, and acrylic, each one full of character and intention.

Settling Into the Mountains

In early 2024, we took a leap and moved to the North Georgia mountains to focus on Gundy Home full time. We found a quiet property with seven acres and turned the red barn into our new studio. Soon after, our work was featured at The Mason Jar Shoppe in Helen, Georgia. That moment opened the door to new customers from across the country, people who connected with our handmade designs and stories behind them.

These Days at Gundy Home

By spring 2025, we started building a new space we now call The Barn at Gundy Home. It’s where we design, build, and personalize every piece of handmade home decor with care. Surrounded by fresh mountain air and the smell of cedar, this space has become the heart of everything we do.

Today, we ship across the U.S., offering both retail and wholesale collections. Whether you’re looking for a meaningful gift or something special for your own home, it means the world to share our work with you.
